The Seaward PAC3760 is a next generation PAT tester. It conducts earth bond, insulation and polarity tests, as well as Leakage Current Tests for Class I and Class II appliances and leads.
Leakage current testing of appliances with an electronic switch is required by AS/NZS3760:2003. Its the right way to test and tag. Otherwise you could pass an appliance with a fault beyond the switch.
The PAC3760 powers up appliances and leads for Leakage Current Tests at 5mA Pass/Fail for Class I and 1mA Pass/Fail for Class II. |

To further improve the level of safety testing, the PAC3760 earth bond test is set at 10 Amps. This is beyond a multimeters continuity test and is capable of fusing a poor earth held by a single strand. PAC3760 Appliance Tester Features:

The Seaward PrimeTest 200 is a multi-function, battery powered portable appliance tester. Ideal for portable appliance and RCD testing, it also provides basic DMM measurements for service & repair applications.
The unit operates in both battery and mains powered modes. When appliance testing, users can conduct earth continuity, insulation and polarity tests under battery power, then plug the unit into mains power to conduct leakage current tests.
The PrimeTest 200 conducts Class I and Class II earth continuity and insulation tests, and also powers up appliances with an electronic switch for Leakage Current
Tests at 5mA Pass/Fail for Class I and 1mA Pass/Fail for Class II as per AS3760.
